The Cathedral Catholic Varsity Water Polo team continues to dominate the pool pushing their record to 8-2 after securing a thrilling 16-10 victory over the Bishop's Knights in their latest match up. Junior
Maximus Arnold led the charge on offense with an impressive four goals and multiple drawn exclusions, setting the tone for the Dons' relentless attack. In a true team effort, seven different Cathedral players scored goals, proving that every athlete on the field posed a threat to Bishop's defense.
The Dons' teamwork extended beyond scoring, with Juniors
Colin McPhail and
Hudson Tweed each tallying four assists. Colin also delivered on defense, recording four key steals, while Junior goalie
Oren Penning was a standout in the net. Oren consistently shut down Knight's offensive drives, and in an incredible fourth quarter moment, he scored a full-tank goal, sealing the Dons' victory!
With this win, the Dons continue to build momentum heading into their next league game against La Jolla High School on October 2nd. Be sure to come out and see them in action.
