Today the Cathedral Catholic Dons Boys Tennis Team will celebrate Senior Night, honoring three outstanding student-athletes:
Jared Edwards,
Luca Repetti, and
Colin Wesseln. These seniors have played a pivotal role in shaping the success of the program and have left an undeniable impact on Cathedral Catholic tennis.
Jared, Luca, and Colin joined the Dons tennis team as freshmen and have since become integral members of the varsity squad. Throughout their four-year journey, they have exemplified dedication, sportsmanship, and competitiveness, consistently representing the program with pride and passion. Their hard work has translated into remarkable success on the court, making them formidable opponents in every match they play.
Luca Repetti and
Colin Wesseln have established themselves as a dominant doubles team, boasting an impressive 22-2 record this season. Their chemistry and skill have set them apart as one of the top pairs in the league. Meanwhile,
Jared Edwards has demonstrated his versatility and talent, remaining undefeated in doubles play while also holding an 8-2 record in singles. Known for his powerful 105 mph serve and "lissome volleys," as praised by Coach
Joe Barbarie, Jared has been a force to be reckoned with in both singles and doubles competition.
Beyond their athletic prowess, these seniors have been exceptional leaders, guiding their teammates and fostering a culture of camaraderie and excellence within the program. Their contributions extend far beyond the court, and their presence will be deeply missed next season.
As they prepare for their next chapters, the Dons are proud to share that both
Luca Repetti and
Jared Edwards will be attending the University of Utah, while
Colin Wesseln is set to continue his academic journey at Auburn University. The Cathedral Catholic community is incredibly proud of their achievements and excited to see all they accomplish in the future. We wish them the best for the remainder of the season and great success in their future endeavors.
Roll Dons!
