At end end of May, the Dons traveled across the country to compete against the best high school rowing programs in North America at the SRAA National Championships, returning with the program’s FIRST-EVER NATIONAL TITLE! 💪❤️💛
🥇 The Girls Senior Lightweight 4+ crew of Julia Byrnes, Abby Cena, Sophia Edson, Annika Nies, and coxswain Julia Habas delivered an incredible comeback to capture gold and become SRAA National Champions!
👏 The weekend was filled with outstanding performances:

🚣♂️ Boys JV 4x – 6th Place National Finish

🏃♀️⭐️ STATE`S BEST ⭐️🏃♀️ What a weekend for the Dons at the CIF State Track & Field Championships! 🔥
💥 Grace Keefe shattered the school record by nearly four seconds in the 1600m with a personal-best 4:49.67 to qualify for the State Finals, then returned the next day to finish 10th in California!
🚀 Freshman Sasha Strem advanced to the State Pole Vault Finals after a qualifying mark of 11`2" in prelims and cleared 11`4" against the state`s top competitors.
🎓 Senior Nathan Wilber closed out an incredible Cathedral career by competing in the 3200m at the state meet... graduating in the morning and running in Fresno Saturday night!

⭐️ SDUT ATHLETE OF THE MONTH ⭐️ Yunze Wang `28 🏆⛳️ Boys Golf🏌️♂️
Yunze delivered a championship performance at the CIF San Diego Section Championships, firing a 4-under round at Steele Canyon, then following it up with a 1-under 71 on Torrey Pines South to finish with a two-day total of 5-under 138.
The result? 🥇 A CIF Section Individual Championship with a three-stroke victory over the field, and helping his team become back-to-back overall San Diego Section champions. 😤🙌 #tuff
