In a thrilling and critical matchup between the Cathedral Catholic Dons and the OLP Pilots, the Dons emerged victorious with a commanding 10-3 win, splitting their season series 1-1. The victory propelled the Dons to an impressive 17-5 record for the season and kept them tied at the top of the Western League standings with OLP.
From the outset, the Dons asserted their dominance, scoring twice in the opening inning to take an early 2-0 lead. Despite a spirited effort from the Pilots, who managed to put up a run in the 3rd inning, the Dons maintained their lead, entering the 5th inning with a narrow 3-1 advantage.
However, the Pilots refused to back down, clawing their way back into contention with another run in the top of the 5th, narrowing the gap to just one run. But the Dons had other plans.
