Cathedral Catholic High School is proud to announce Sydney Masaki as the new head coach for girls' lacrosse.
Sydney recently completed her fourth year as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Cathedral Catholic High School, where she helped guide the team to two CIF Finals appearances, two CIF Semi-Finals appearances, and two league championships. With over 15 years of combined coaching and playing experience, she is eager to step into the role of Varsity Head Coach for the 2026 season.
Before joining Cathedral Catholic, Sydney served as the Varsity Assistant at Westview High School. In the offseason, she coaches for Mad Dog and is involved with both the Mad Dog Pacific Regional and Mad Dog Pacific Elite teams.
A former attacker and draw taker at the University of San Diego, Sydney brings firsthand playing experience that she applies to dynamic training focused on fundamentals, speed of play, and competitive excellence. She is equally committed to fostering a team culture built on discipline, sportsmanship, and resilience.
Outside of coaching, Sydney enjoys playing pickleball, reading, golfing, and spending time with her dog, Stetson.
We are excited to welcome Coach Sydney to her new role and look forward to the continued success of our girls' lacrosse program under her leadership.
