The Cathedral Catholic Girls Golf team is in the midst of an unforgettable season, clinching their second straight undefeated Western League Championship and continuing to dominate both league and non-league play. With an unblemished record, the girls are not only ranked #1 in Division 2 but are also one of the top teams in all of San Diego County, sitting at #7 overall as they head into postseason tournaments.

This season has seen impressive individual performances, with almost all of the varsity players posting career-low scores. Senior Ellaclair Leedom fired an incredible 32 at Torrey Pines North, and junior Alexa Feliciano carded two standout rounds of 35 at Coronado and Balboa. To top it off, Feliciano recorded a hole-in-one during a practice round at Lomas Santa Fe, further cementing her impact on the team's success.

In addition to their league triumph, the team made history by defeating Mater Dei for the first time in the coaching staff's tenure, adding another highlight to an already stellar season.

As a team, the Dons have broken 203 six times this season, with four rounds coming in under 200. Their combined efforts throughout the season are making them the clear frontrunner for Division 2 as they approach the playoff tournaments.
 

Key Players Leading the Charge

At the forefront of the team's success are Ellaclair Leedom and Alexa Feliciano, who have been a powerful one-two punch all season long. Leedom, ranked #22 in San Diego County with a 1.56 differential, has been a steady leader for the team. Feliciano, ranked #40 in the county with a 3.10 differential, has also contributed significantly, highlighted by her consistent play and memorable moments like her hole-in-one.

With their undefeated record and top ranking in Division 2, the girls are well-positioned to make a deep postseason run, beginning Monday.
