The Cathedral Catholic girls' golf team had a strong start to their season, beating Poway 200–259. The defending CIF champions continued their success, demonstrating both experienced leadership and promising new talent.

Leading the Dons was Mikala Kinnear '26, who carded a team-low 37. She was closely followed by Joanna Tilker '29 (39), Alexa Feliciano '26 (40), and Charlotte Wang '29 (41), with Sydney Carlin '26 (43) and Reagan Joy Griffith '28 (44) rounding out the scoring lineup.

While Cathedral aims to build on last year's championship success, this opener also provided an opportunity to help new players settle in and gain valuable competitive experience. The mix of strong returning talent and eager newcomers gives the Dons momentum as they start their 2025 campaign.
