The Cathedral Catholic Dons Surf Team launched their season with strong performances at the first competition held at San Fernando Place, Mission Beach. Facing tough competition, the Dons scored 48 points in their Division 3 matchup but ultimately fell to La Costa Canyon A, who finished with 80 points.

Despite the team result, individual athletes delivered impressive performances: Liam Koett '27 placed 2nd overall in Men's Longboard, Luna Smith '25 secured 4th in Women's Longboard, and Cole McComic '27 took 3rd in Co-ed Bodyboard. With a talented group of returning surfers and new faces, the team is eager to continue building on this strong start.
