The No. 3-ranked Cathedral Catholic Dons delivered a powerful performance on Friday night, securing a 55-6 victory over the Point Loma Pointers at Point Loma. The Dons, now 8-2 overall and 3-1 in league play, showcased their offensive depth and defensive strength, with seven different players finding the end zone.

Brady Palmer led the charge, completing 12 of 16 passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns, adding another 41 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown. Running back Willie Flores contributed with 71 yards on 10 carries, scoring two touchdowns. The Dons' defense also shined, as
Stavros Hetrick intercepted a pass and returned it 48 yards for a touchdown, adding to the team's already impressive lead. The Dons defense held the Pointers scoreless for 3 straight quarters, eventually allowing 6 points in garbage time in the 4th.Â
With this decisive win, Cathedral Catholic maintains its position near the top of the county. Playoff brackets were posted on Sunday and the No. 3-ranked Dons will travel to La Costa Canyon on November 15th at 7PM.Â
