Cathedral Catholic boys basketball secured a commanding win at home Tuesday night, rolling past Ramona 68-30 behind a complete team effort and stifling defense.
The Dons set an early tone and maintained it, building a commanding 33-11 lead by halftime. Relentless pressure on defense and unselfish ball movement on offense quickly created separation, as Cathedral Catholic controlled the pace from the opening tip.
Offensively, the Dons were powered by a balanced attack.
Tyler Vosburgh led with 14 points, including four three-pointers, and added 5 rebounds.
Anthony Ali Nayab followed with 11 points, along with 3 assists and 4 steals, while
"Breylon" Milbrey Jones contributed 10 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
On the glass and defensively, the Dons dominated.
Boone Thompson grabbed 8 rebounds and recorded 3 steals, while
Samuel Weyer (6 rebounds) and
Charlie Barajas (5 rebounds) helped control the boards.
Colton McQuaid directed the offense with 8 assists, keeping everyone involved.
Cathedral Catholic's depth, defense, and discipline were fully on display in a wire-to-wire home victory as the Dons continued building momentum.
