On a memorable night at home, senior Maddie Moeller was honored before the game for surpassing the 1,000-point career scoring mark. She followed the celebration with a career-high 30 points, an electrifying performance that also included nine rebounds, four assists, and nine steals. Moeller came just one rebound and one steal short of an impressive triple-double, setting the tone for the Cathedral Catholic Dons in their commanding 62-41 victory over the visiting Carlsbad Lancers.

McKinnley Hanlon '27 delivered a strong supporting performance, contributing 18 points while pulling down four rebounds and adding five steals. Khloe Lopez '28 provided valuable support, scoring four points, grabbing eight rebounds, and swiping three steals to help control the game on both ends of the court. Emma Millar chipped in six points, adding an offensive spark, while Anastasia Miskova contributed two points and four rebounds to round out a well-balanced team effort.

The Dons' defense proved pivotal, as their relentless pressure forced numerous turnovers, which they converted into fast-break opportunities. With this win, Cathedral Catholic improves to 9-1 on the season.

Next, the Dons will host Francis Parker on Friday, January 3, in another non-league matchup. Meanwhile, the visiting Carlsbad Lancers, now 7-5, will look to rebound in their next contest. The Dons continue to impress, building momentum for what promises to be an exciting season, fueled by Moeller's leadership and standout performances.
