On Thursday, February 12 at 5:30pm, Cathedral Catholic celebrated Senior Night in dominant fashion with a 77-42 Western League win over Morse High School.

The Dons started the game with great energy, scoring 32 points in the first quarter, their best scoring quarter of the season. With emotion and motivation running high, Cathedral maintained its momentum, delivering one of its most well-rounded performances this year. Seniors Bianca Slone and Kate McInnis started the game, with McInnis making her first start of the season on a memorable night.

Junior McKinley Hanlon led the charge with a stellar all-around performance, pouring in 29 points, including five three-pointers, while adding 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks. Bianca Slone delivered a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and three blocks.

Junior Abby Rall controlled the glass in historic fashion, scoring 13 points and grabbing a career-high 18 rebounds, 15 of them on the offensive end. Sophomore Khloe Lopez was everywhere defensively, tallying more than 15 deflections to go along with four steals and seven assists. Freshman Lainey Rall added 11 points, including three three-pointers, six rebounds, and two assists.

The highlight came late in the game when Junior Giada Germain brought the crowd to its feet, knocking down her final three-point attempt after several earlier tries. It marked her first basket of the season and was the perfect exclamation point to the evening.

Following the game, Cathedral Catholic honored its five seniors, Bianca Slone, Kate McInnis, Ada Fultz, Hannah Lucey, and Grace Sanchez, as they walked onto the court with their families to a heartfelt ovation.

With the win, the Dons close out the regular season at 22-6 overall and 7-1 in Western League play, earning the Western League Championship. Cathedral now awaits Saturday's playoff bracket release to learn its seed in the Open Division playoffs.
