The Cathedral Catholic girls basketball team delivered a complete performance in a memorable Dedication Game victory over Our Lady of Peace, leading wire-to-wire in one of their most inspired efforts of the season.
From the opening tip, the Dons played with purpose and emotion, honoring the tradition that makes this game so special. Each year, Cathedral dedicates one game to someone meaningful to its players and coaches. Before the game, the players and coaches wrote the name of the person they were playing for on the game ball and shared it with the team, setting the stage for a night filled with gratitude and heart. The emotion was channeled in all the right ways as Cathedral put together a balanced, relentless team effort.

  Â
Offensively, the Dons were led by a dominant performance from
Bianca Slone, who poured in 29 points and added five rebounds, three steals, and three blocks.
Mckinley Hanlon followed with 23 points, including three triples, and dished out seven assists to go along with four rebounds.
"Lilly" Lillianna Teresi controlled the game as the floor general, finishing with eight points and five assists, while
Khloe Lopez made her presence felt defensively with an impressive nine steals and five rebounds.
Rebounding was a true team emphasis. Four Dons finished with five rebounds apiece —
Kate Friedman,
Khloe Lopez,
"Abby" Abigail Rall, and
Bianca Slone — and every player who stepped on the floor grabbed at least one board, highlighting the group's collective effort and energy.
The night reached a special moment late in the game when Cathedral surpassed its season-high scoring mark. Having never scored more than 66 points this year, the gym erupted when Slone finished a layup off one of Hanlon's seven assists to reach 67. The bench exploded in celebration, jumping up and flashing the now-famous "67" hand gesture as the Claver Center roared.
Everyone contributed, everyone played, and the result was a performance that reflected what Dedication Night is all about: unity, effort, and playing for something bigger than the scoreboard.
Before tip-off, both Cathedral Catholic and OLP gathered together at center court for a pregame prayer led by team captain Lilly Teresi. The moment set a powerful tone for the evening, highlighting the shared values of two Catholic schools and paving the way for a competitive, respectful, and meaningful contest.
