The Cathedral Catholic Inline Hockey Team continued their strong start to the season, improving to 2-0 with a dominant 6-1 victory over Del Norte last night at Kit Carson Park in Escondido.
Sophomore goaltender
Jackson Mann made his first start of the season after missing last week's opener due to illness and delivered an impressive performance. Mann stood tall in the net, making several key saves and allowing just a single goal in the first period to help anchor the Dons' defense.
On the offensive side, Cathedral Catholic showcased its depth and balance, with six different players finding the back of the net. Freshmen
Kellan Morneau and
David Brown each tallied goals, while senior captain Matt Cavanaugh, junior
Brady Nelson, and sophomores
Luke Ring and
Vison Ha also contributed to the scoring onslaught.
With momentum on their side, the Dons look to keep their perfect record intact as they prepare for their next matchup against Poway on Wednesday, February 12, at 8:15 p.m.
Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses, and be sure to come out and support the team as they battle for continued success on the rink!
