The Cathedral Catholic flag football team is on a roll. Over the last four weeks, the Dons have gone 4-0, bringing their overall record to 10-2, with a 4-0 mark in league play, and climbing to the #8 spot in San Diego. Their surge has been powered by one of the most dominant defenses in the county and standout performances from offensive playmakers.
Through 12 games, the defense has been relentless, recording 45 sacks (an average of 3.8 per game) and 35 interceptions (nearly 3 per game). Quarterbacks around San Diego have struggled to find any rhythm against this unit.
Larisa Olivas '27 and
Payton Steinberg '28 have been central to this effort, consistently leading the team in tackles and interceptions while shutting down deep threats.
On offense,
Sienna Willard '26 continues to show she's one of the most exciting players in San Diego. With multiple games over 100 all-purpose yards, her speed and yards-after-catch ability make her nearly impossible to stop.
