The Cathedral Catholic Inline Hockey team stayed hot Wednesday night, improving to 2-0 on the young season with a 6-2 win over Westview High School.
The Dons received contributions up and down the lineup, led by freshman Eddie Hentzen, who made the most of his first varsity appearance with two goals. Seniors
Brady Nelson and
Vigo Garcia each scored, while junior
Luke Ring and sophomore
Kellan Morneau added one goal apiece to round out the scoring.
Freshman goaltender Conner Bray earned his second straight start and improved to 2-0 on the season. He made several key saves in the second period, when the game was still within reach, helping the Dons maintain control before breaking it open with three third-period goals to seal the win.
Cathedral Catholic will look to keep the momentum going on Wednesday, February 25, at 6:45 p.m., against Poway High School.
The season is young, but the Dons are already setting the tone.
