The Cathedral Catholic Inline Hockey team continued its strong start to the season Tuesday night, defeating Poway 5-2 to improve to 3-0 on the year. Through three weeks of play, the Dons remain the league's only undefeated team.
Sophomore
Kellan Morneau led the offensive charge with two goals, setting the tone early for Cathedral Catholic. Freshman Eddie Hentzen, sophomore
David Brown, and senior
Brady Nelson each added a goal to round out a balanced scoring effort.
In goal, the Dons received a composed performance from both netminders. Junior
Jackson Mann started the game and held Poway scoreless for the first period and a half. Freshman Conner Bray entered in relief and closed out the victory, allowing just two goals while maintaining control down the stretch.
Senior
Madeline Brown delivered a standout performance, showcasing both toughness and skill throughout the contest. Defensively, junior
Vison Ha and senior
Vigo Garcia anchored the back line with their usual steady, dominant play—controlling puck movement and limiting opportunities for Poway's top forwards.
Cathedral Catholic will look to keep its momentum rolling on Wednesday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. against the combined San Diego Inline team as the Dons continue their undefeated campaign.
