Lake Merced, San Francisco | April 11–13, 2025
This past weekend, Cathedral Catholic's Crew Team delivered an impressive performance at the prestigious West Coast Scholastic Championship held at Lake Merced in San Francisco. With 42 student-athletes representing our program, the Dons demonstrated exceptional skill and team spirit throughout the multi-day regatta.
Before racing even began, our team made time to honor our faith and community. On Saturday evening, a group of student-athletes, along with several volunteer coaches and parents, attended Palm Sunday Mass at Holy Angels Church. The opportunity to reflect and pray together set a meaningful tone for the weekend and reinforced the values that guide our program: faith, dedication, and unity.
Saturday also served as a final tune-up, with student-athletes participating in practice sessions under clear skies and favorable conditions. Sunday's racing began promptly at 8:00 a.m. and featured intense competition against powerhouse programs such as Saint Ignatius Prep, Berkeley High School, and Waterford Prep from Utah. Cathedral Catholic crews rose to the challenge, placing in numerous events and securing several podium finishes.
